Sony launches Vaio W series: netbook @ Rs.29,990 in India

Coming out with its first ‘netbook’, Sony has released the Vaio W series in India.

The series sports an isolated keyboard with responsive and handy keys that make it very comfortable to use. Further, the cautiously designed touchpad and mouse keys make it functional and mouse movements all the more easy to control.

The W series comes in 3 exciting colors- pink, white and brown. There is also a 10.1-inch LED-backlit display with a native resolution of 1366×768 pixels. The screen has a widescreen format which enables you to view full-width web pages without having to scroll.

Other specs include a 160GB hard drive and 1GB of RAM and a Windows XP this time, instead of a Windows Vista.

Also there is Vaio Multimedia Suite, a compilation of video and photo editing tools that enables you to create your own high-quality home movies, slideshows and more. Further, there is a built-in Wi-Fi, Vaio Media Plus, two convenient USB ports, Bluetooth, built-in Webcam and microphone.

Available at all Sony Center stores and retail partners all over India, the Vaio W Series mini notebook is priced at Rs. 29,990.
